How to Give

Thank you for considering a contribution to the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center and our campaign to build a lasting tribute to these men.

By doing so, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you are an integral part of an effort to ensure that the Nisei veterans’ valor and patriotism live on in our country’s conscience.

And at the same time, you can create tax benefits for yourself and your family, and advance your retirement and estate planning.

This section provides information to tailor your contribution to your specific circumstances.

Contributions by check

Cash gifts by check should be made payable to the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center and mailed to:

Nisei Veterans Memorial Center
PO Box 216
Kahului, HI 96733-6716

Contributions by credit card

Many of our contributors like to gift through their credit card, and if you would like to do so, please download our CCGIVING.PDF form and mail it to us.

Or you may call us at 808.244.6862 during normal business hours (8:30 AM to 5 PM, Hawaii Standard Time) to provide your credit card information over the phone.

Note: Currently we do not accept credit card donations over the web because of the fees associated with secure Internet services.

Electronic Funds Transfer

Donors can make their gifts by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Fixed amounts can be given to the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center monthly or quarterly, for a defined or indefinite period.

Print out the EFTAUTHORIZE.PDF form which includes instructions on how to set up an EFT. Please call us if you have any questions.

Gifts of stock

Gifts of appreciated securities and mutual funds can be extremely beneficial to both of us. These gifts can help you diversify your assets and minimize capital gains taxes.

It is almost always a better strategy to gift appreciated securities directly to the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center, rather than selling them and donating the proceeds from the sale. Often, the tax benefits associated with gifting stock actually allow the giver to increase the size of their gift.

Please contact the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center office if you have any questions, or would like to consider gifting appreciated securities.

Thank you for your support.

If you go to the US Army’s official history, you will find 233 infantry regiments served in WWII…include the 18 Marine regiments, then you realize 251 infantry regiments fought in WWII….The most decorated of them all is the 442d.

We, the guests, are not only honored but also humbled to be in your presence and to join you in honoring those who died for their buddies, the 442d, and their country.

General David A. Bramlett, US Army (Ret).
