Pour the Slab Celebration

It was an extraordinary day at our Pour
the Slab celebration. Governor Linda Lingle called
on Senator Shan Tsutsui and Representative Joe Souki to help her present
a ceremonial check of $1.5 million to Center president Hiroshi
Arisumi and vice-president Dan Waki.
Then the Governor,
Senator Tsutsui (red Aloha shirt) and Representative Souki (next to Lingle) joined the work crew
to "help" smooth the cement slab for the Adult Day Care building.
Also helping were Dain Kane, representing the Maui County Council,
and Mayor Alan Arakawa.
