Partnering for Our Community

April 8, 2006

Our Center was an enthusiastic supporter of Maui Adult Day Care Center's first annual "Family Caregivers Walkathon."

About 200 walkers gathered in the early morning at the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center, engaged in some vigorous stretching exercises, and then "hit the trail" at 7:30 AM sharp for their five mile walk around Keopualani Park.

Board president Hiroshi Arisumi (right in photo below) and board member Glenn Goya presented Maui Adult Day Care Centers Executive Director Sandy Freeman a $1,000 check to show our support for their effort.

Maui Adult Day Care Centers will be leasing our adult day care facility, bringing their highly-acclaimed program of recreational and social activities for senior citizens in need of day care.
