State Releases Education Bldg. Funds

Lt. Governor James “Duke” Aiona visited our Center on February 25 to present a $750,000 check for our Education Building.

	Joining Aiona in the check presentation were (L-R) Mark Moses, Director of the Office of Veterans Services; Deputy Adjutant General Gary Ishikawa; Center president Hiroshi Arisumi; and Tom Moriyasu, Fiscal Officer for the State Department of Defense.
	Students from Kansha Preschool helped greet and present leis to our distinguished guests.

	In presenting the check, Aiona talked about the importance of the Education Building in ensuring that future generations understand the sacrifice and bravery of the Nisei soldiers.

“These heroic Americans occupy a special place in our nation’s history.

"This is about recognizing them for proving their loyalty through the sacrifices they made in service to the United States.”
