Also taking part in “helping” the construction crew to pour the cement slab were Maui Senator Shan Tsutsui and Representative Joseph Souki, who, along with Representative Bob Nakasone, were instrumental in securing the funding.	“We live in an age-segmented society: Many youngsters have little contact with seniors, and the elderly, in turn, feel isolated from the youngest in our community. Each has much to give – and to gain – in interacting with the other. Our Intergenerational Center will build bridges between generations, which in turn will strengthen the bonds of our families and the fabric of our community.” Hiroshi Arisumi NVMC president
