Widespread Support

The Nisei Veterans Memorial Center has received widespread support from government, private foundations, corporations and individuals.

We have received contributions from over 1,300 supporters across the United States.

Government and private foundation contributions include:

  • State of Hawaii has provided grants totaling $2.5 million.
  • County of Maui has provided grants totaling $550,000.
  • A&B Foundation has provided a $15,000 grant
  • Atherton Family Foundation has provided a $20,000 grant
  • Cooke Foundation has provided a $25,000 grant
  • Fred Baldwin Memorial Foundation has provided a $5,000 grant
  • Howard K.L. Castle Foundation provided a $200,000 grant
